Forensic Science in Canada
This report represents the efforts of various forensic scientists from all over Canada that attended a 2 day meeting at Hart House at the University of Toronto in May 2012, to discuss the status for forensic science in Canada.
The report describes the activities of the major forensic disciplines in the areas of: service, education, and research. The report also includes recommendations aimed at growing and developing forensic science. We hope that academic institutions; governments; professional associations and societies; and forensic stakeholders find the report informative. We believe that tabling this report is a necessary first step in progressing and modernizing forensic science in Canada, in the 21st century.
